Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone!  At the Team 1 Jiu-jitsue Academy, I have the previlage
  • Recreational focused students love the workouts. You'll enjoy seeing friends, making new friends, and getting rid of stress from everyday life in a safe, healthy, competitive environment where you are learning and enjoy it.
  • Competition Students go through the same training as Recreational Students, but with extra time to learn tournament specific strategies and moves.  Beyond the basic system taught at the Recreation level, at the Competitors level you'll push yourself physically to that next level and drill the moves that you need to win.
  • Professional Students enjoy the laid back approach of Recreation with the attention to detail they may need on the job such as in Security and Law Enforcement.  Executives in management positions will value the mental training and communication skills that come from working with others. You'll have a chance to perfect these techniques yourself and then master passing those skills onto others in our Executive Coaching Program.
Whichever focus you decide to fit into is great because it helps me coach you in the goals you're looking to achieve in your chosen program. Don't hesitate to move from focus to focus depending on where you are in your life and career. Goals change as life changes. So be flexible. The system I teach is based on the fundamental skills necessary to be successful in Jiu-Jitsu with applications in Self-Defense, Tournament, and Mixed Martial Arts. It is designed to give you a solid foundation so you can have the chance to experience everything these arts have to offer. Through this class you will learn:
  • Falling
  • Throws
  • Take Downs
  • Holds
  • Escapes
  • Reverses
  • Chokes
  • Arm Locks
  • Leg Locks
